Meal Plan – Week 10

It continues to get colder here in D.C. but the weather hasn’t stopped us. This past week was busy for us with Diwali celebrations so we were a bit slower posting recipes and meal plans. But alas, we are back with a tantalizing meal plan for this week. This is week 10 of meal plans! I can’t believe it. Deepal and I enjoy creating these plans because it provides us structure and delicious food for the week. It helps us plan our grocery lists and makes sure we don’t get tired of eating the same thing over and over again. It holds us accountable. We hope that the convenience of these meal plans helps some of you out there too! Anyways, we enjoy creating them and we hope you enjoy cooking them!

Shopping List

Proteins:

  • Red Split Lentils (2/3 cup)
  • Cashews (whole, 1.5 cup)
  • Tofu (16 oz, Firm)
  • Green Lentils (3/4 cup)

Vegetables:

  • Acorn Squash (1)
  • Brussel sprouts (1 lb bag)
  • Cauliflower (1 medium sized)
  • Red Bell Pepper (1)
  • Yellow Bell Pepper (1)
  • Orange Bell Pepper (1)
  • Murasaki Sweet Potatoes (3-4)
  • Tomatoes (2)
  • Garlic (14-16 cloves)
  • Sage (10-12 leaves)
  • Jalapeno (1)
  • Limes (1)
  • Green Onions (1 bunch)
  • Diced Canned Tomatoes (1 can)

Spices/Oils/Etc.

  • Mustard Seeds
  • Cumin Seed
  • Tomato paste
  • Masala Simmer Sauce (15 oz bottle; purchased at Trader Joes but any Tikka Masala sauce will do)
  • Gochujang Sauce
  • Soy Sauce
  • Honey

  • Rice wine vinegar
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Dry White Wine
  • Vegetable Broth
  • Goat Cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt
